The 2026 Scotty Rolston Fishing Derby is in the books, and we were blessed with great weather, calm seas, and solid fishing. Almost every boat came in with fish, and this year’s winner ran away with it.
Results
- Ted McCool of Dead Ahead brought in 14 fish, nearly tripling the next closest boat, which finished with five.
- Paul Reschke of Sea Glass brought in the largest fish — a 12-pound lake trout. We love seeing a sailboat participant win and encourage more sailboats to join the event.
This year, 13 boats participated and brought in a total of 44 fish. I cannot thank the Wilmette Harbor Club team and staff enough for all they do to make this event happen. We can only hope for such favorable conditions again next year.
